LGBT Visitor Center

The LGBT Visitor Center provides essential resources for the LGBTQ tourists, both before and during their stay on Miami Beach, to ensure a successful stay in Miami Beach, while promoting socioeconomic development and tourism. In addition to their daily services, the Center also enhances the health and well-being of the LGBTQ community by providing activities, programs, and services that create community by bringing everyone together for a shared purpose. Events and activities include panel discussions, educational workshops, special social events, recovery and support groups, and dancing fitness classes.

Miami Beach Watersports Center

The Miami Beach Watersports Center begins each season in October with a major rowing race, Head of the Indian Creek Regatta, the only nationally recognized regatta of its kind in Florida and attended by hundreds of out of town participants and spectators. Activities continue year-round including training camps, conferences, events, and destination weddings, attracting hundreds of out-of-town guests. The Center also hosts an adaptive program for people with disabilities that is recognized nationally.

Miami Beach Visual Memoirs Project 

Since 2001, this project has interviewed 130 long-time Miami Beach residents in an effort to capture the rich history this City has to offer. Miami Design Preservation League and Close-Up Productions have created numerous promotional videos and three educational videos for elementary, middle, and high school students with supplemental curricula for the classroom. Several social accounts have been created to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Vimeo. In addition, a dedicated website has been created and all interviews have been transcribed with a digital archive now available through FIU’s Digital Library. While continuing to expand the video archive,, a digital promotional portal showcasing the existing archive with links highlighting Miami and Miami Beach’s historical resources, was created.

Visit Miami Beach Welcome Center

Visit Miami Beach, located at 530 17th Street, has been operating in its new location for approximately one year. Their main objective is to promote the City of Miami Beach as the ultimate tourist destination. Their friendly staff assists locals as well as tourists with a multitude of needs such as hotel and restaurant reservations, tours, attraction bookings, and much more. The Miami Go Card and Explorer Pass are also sold at the Visitors Center. In addition, their revamped website has been designed to attract visitors from international, regional, and local destinations, as well as to promote a variety of local businesses.

Aqua Girl

Aqua Girl Festival is taking place October 3 - 6, 2019, celebrating its 20th year. The Festival creates a safe space for LGBTQ women and their allies to showcase and explore music, the arts, connection and equality. This year’s festival, being held across Miami Beach, will feature 8 events that include cocktail parties with live performances, celebrity chef activations, pool parties featuring national female DJs and producers, choreographed dance troupes and percussionists, a wide variety of comedians and spoken word performances surrounded by live and stationary art exhibits. The event attracts thousands of LGBTQ women from across the world to Miami Beach. All proceeds from the festival benefit Aqua Foundation for Women, a non-profit organization that serves to support the LGBTQ community in South Florida.

Irie Weekend XV

This is one of South Florida’s most buzzworthy and highly anticipated weekends of the year. Irie Weekend taking place October 10 - 13, 2019, is a star-studded weekend of festivities that draws participants and media from across the globe. Events will include a golf tournament, concerts, pool parties, and more with a large range of celebrity participation. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Irie Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives of at-risk youth within the community.

South Beach Seafood Festival

The 7th annual South Beach Seafood Festival, taking place on October 22 - 26, 2019 is a 5-day culinary event that kicks off Miami’s globally-recognized stone crab season through a high-end experience that showcases the talent of South Florida’s leading chefs and culinary masterminds. The South Beach Seafood Festival includes nightly culinary events leading up to Saturday’s festival, to include an Evening at Joe’s Stone Crab, Cooking & Cocktails, Crabs, Slabs, and Cabs, and a Chef Showdown.

2019 ITF Young Seniors World Championships 35-40-45

The ITF (International Tennis Federation) Seniors World Team Championships, taking place October 19 - November 2, 2019,  is a 15-day marquee event that consists of individual and team championship divisions. Over 900 players from more than 35 countries will be competing for the coveted title of World Champion in their respective categories. It is the highest ranked event on the ITF circuit for male and female players 35, 40, and 45 years of age. The individual championships offer singles, doubles and mixed doubles as well as consolation draw for singles first-round losers. The team championships see nations compete against each other in their age category on a round robin basis followed by a knock out stage to decide the winners and final positions. Other events include an opening ceremony, gala event, and player parties.

Circuit Festival Miami

Circuit Festival Barcelona – the world’s biggest international gay event – joins forces with Miami’s biggest and most well-known party producers. This event, taking place November 28 - December 2, 2019 will offer the ultimate gay dance festival getaway. Circuit Festival Miami will include 5 nighttime events with world-class production in spectacular locations; a minimum of 3 daytime parties, including a Beach party, and international DJs to entertain Circuit Party goers

Once Upon a Kitchen

Once Upon a Kitchen is an unprecedented culinary experience taking place from November 30, 2019 through December 1, 2019, The event recently relocated from New York and includes a multi-course, wine paired dinner featuring signature dishes from a bucket-list-worthy epicurean quartet of Michelin Star culinary masters: Massimo Bottura, Mauro Colagreco, Alex Atala and Antonio Bachou, with renowned winemaker Roberto Cipresso presiding. Guests will enjoy a welcome cocktail experience created by Alex Ott, a world-renown Master Mixologist. This event is endorsed by Forbes Travel Guide and has a not-for profit charitable partner in Food for Soul, an organization founded by Massimo Bottura and his wife Laura Gilmore. 

SCOPE Miami Beach 2019

SCOPE Miami Beach, taking place December 3 - 8, 2019, is a contemporary art fair that will welcome over 140 established international exhibitors and 20 emerging galleries, many of whom will experience their first introduction to the art market. Also offering a wide range of curated projects, sponsor programs, and Platinum VIP tours, SCOPE’s emphasis on activating young galleries and artists draws attendees who are seasoned collectors, curators and tastemakers looking for new discovery. In addition to the art show, many ancillary events to include a Platinum First View Brunch, VIP+Press Preview, VIP brunches and panel discussions, a Commissioners Brunch, and Porsche Private Dinner, will be held.

UNTITLED Art, Miami Beach

UNTITLED, Art Miami Beach, taking place December 3 - 8, 2019, is an international curated art fair that focuses on curatorial balance and integrity across all disciplines of contemporary art. Founded in 2012, UNTITLED selects a curatorial team to identify, and curate a selection of galleries, artist-run exhibition spaces, and non-profit institutions and organization, in discussion with an architecturally designed venue. In addition to the art fair, other events will include a series of conversations, performances, and special events to enhance the visitor experience.

2019 Capital One Orange Bowl Game Marketing Campaign and Ancillary Events

This year’s Capital One Orange Bowl game will be played on Saturday, December 30, 2019 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami–Dade County, with their ancillary events taking place between December 24 and 31, 2019. It is estimated that over 200,000 college football fans, spectators and participants will take part in the Capital One Orange Bowl Festival events. The game will be televised on ESPN and is expected to reach more than 20,000,000 viewers through ESPN’s family of networks. In addition, as the official broadcast provider of the football game, ESPN Radio, along with the participating teams’ radio networks, are expected to deliver a combined 8 million listeners from the game broadcast. The Orange Bowl features a week of exciting events including the Team Welcome Receptions, Team Beach Parties, Family/Children and Spouses’ outings, Coaches Dinners, Orange Bowl Coaches Luncheon, Orange Bowl Rhapsody, and Capital One Orange Bowl Fan Fest.

NATPE Miami 2020

NATPE Miami, taking place January 21 - 23, 2020, is the epicenter of the global content, community focused on commerce, deal-making, screenings, awards, education, thought-leadership, and networking all under one roof. It is the largest US-based global content association that hosts their annual anchor marketplace & conference, and award shows attracting entertainment, content, talent, producers, buyers, distributors, brands, service providers, and press from every corner of the world. In addition to the marketplace & conference, events will include an opening night party, the Unscripted Breakthrough Awards & Reception, the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award Ceremony & Reception, “Living the DREAM: A Career in Content”, and the Miami Beach Party hosted by the GMCVB.

Super Bowl Host Committee Marketing Campaign and Ancillary Events

The SUPERBOWL LIV game will be played on Sunday February 2, 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami–Dade County, with their ancillary events taking place between January 25 and February 2, 2020. This will be one of the most watched televised events in 2020 and is expected to attract numerous tourists to Miami Beach to participate in the weeklong events leading up to the big game. The Super Bowl Host Committee will manage several high-profile events on Miami Beach that will showcase the destination as the one of the most ideal locations to host the big game. They will include the Media Center, NFL Experience, NFL Commissioners Ball, NFL Host House, FOX Broadcast, ESPN Broadcast, NFL Networks broadcast, and FOX VIP Party.

LIFE TIME Miami Marathon & Half Marathon

The Miami Marathon and Half Marathon, taking place February 7 – 9, 2020, are health and community-based running/walking races. It is a favorite “race cation” for runners throughout the world. The event will kick off with the Health & Fitness Expo that is free and open to the public followed by the various races that include the Tropical 5K and Kids’ Run, with courses that will be lined with spectators, local bands, DJs, and high school cheerleaders rooting on participants. There will also be a Finish Line post-race party at Nikki Beach.

GroundUp Music Festival

The GroundUp Music Festival returns for a fourth year in between February 14 - 16, 2020 at the North Beach Bandshell. This annual event creates a unique festival experience for locals and tourists alike creating an artist-centric, community focused immersive environment.  Guests can enjoy and appreciate the music up close and interact with the artists in the masterclasses and workshops lead by the artists themselves. A strong line-up of Grammy-award winning artists and internationally renowned performers combines community focus and an international audience. The 2020 line-up includes Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, Michael McDonald, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Lila Downs Christian Scott a Tunde Adjuah, Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, and Becca Stevens, among others.

Model Volleyball Tournament

The Model Volleyball Tournament, taking place February 15 – 16, 2020, will enter its 11th year in 2020. This free event features top model agencies competing in a co-ed beach volleyball tournament. These top agencies include Next, CGM, Elite, MC2, Mega, Front, Green, BMG, Runways, 2BC, K2, DAS, & Dorothy Combs. The tournament expanded in 2018, to Los Angeles (Venice Beach) and will soon be adding a New York City component in 2020. In the past, guests have included Dwayne Wade, Hassan Whiteside, Calvin Klein, Jamie Foxx and many more noteworthy celebrities and athletes.

2020 Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine + Food Festival 

The 4-day Festival, taking place February 19 – 23, 2020, will showcase celebrities and top names in the culinary, wine and spirits industries. Al Roker is confirmed to participate in the Beachside BBQ event on Saturday Night, therefore, a live taping of the Today Show is anticipated from The Loews Miami Beach on the Friday morning of the event.   The Festival will be showcasing Miami Beach as a first-class destination offering a wealth of culture, arts, beaches, and nightlife

2020 Winter Party Festival

Winter Party Festival, taking place March 4 – 10, 2020, is a week-long celebration for members of the LGBTQ community and friends. The festival expects to host 18-22 events in Miami and Miami Beach, and will include the Beach Party, VIP Cocktail Reception, an outdoor concert, nighttime dance parties, and much more.

Miami Beach Pride 2020- POSTPONED; New Dates TBD

Miami Beach Pride brings together Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer & Questioning members of the community as well as Allies and supporters to celebrate Pride in Miami Beach. Miami Beach Pride provides a safe, free, mass-appeal festival and parade for all. The Festival, taking place March 28 –April 5, 2020, houses expo/vendor booths for the community to come together providing educational, cultural, food & drink, a kid’s zone for families, a safe Pridelines zone for teens, and a Lambda Living Lounge for seniors. Miami Beach Pride promotes dance, art, fashion, community, and networking events as well as civic receptions enhancing the community, educating masses about the nature of Pride while celebrating their diversities. Primary programming includes the annual parade, expo and festivities on Ocean Drive, the rainbow flag-raising ceremony at Miami Beach City Hall, VIP reception and more. In addition, they will continue the activation of “Pride Lights Up the Night”. This year’s theme will be “Let’s Have a Ball”; a tribute to their home in Miami Beach and a celebration of their 12-year heritage.

Bachateando Dance Festival - POSTPONED until June 17 -  22, 2020

The Bachateando Dance Festival, taking place April 1 – 6, 2020, is a 6-day dance event that consists of nightly dance showcases from around the world; dance workshops and clinics; live concerts by world renowned artists and daily pool parties. The Festival attracts novice and seasoned dance aficionados looking to learn, perform, watch shows and immerse themselves in the rich sounds of Bachata.

No Vacancy - POSTPONED

“No Vacancy” is a contemporary art experience that celebrates artists, provokes critical discourse, and invites the public to experience Miami Beach’s famed hotels as destination art spaces by turning hotels into temporary cultural institutions – the very definition of Cultural Tourism. Art will be exhibited throughout ten hotels in Miami Beach – lobbies, restaurants, lounges, patio areas, rooms, balconies and swimming pools may serve as a canvas. Taking place May 7 – May 17, 2020, No Vacancy is committed to providing art experiences that are accessible to everyone, free and open to the public as well as reinventing Cultural Tourism on Miami Beach. 

A National Salute to America’s Heroes

Beginning in 2017 the National Salute to America’s Heroes once again became the world’s largest Air & Sea Show, Music Explosion, and Star-Spangles Fireworks Extravaganza.  In 2020, the event will take place May 23 – 24, 2020, and will showcase our country’s state of the art military technology, civilian aerobatic demonstrations, dynamic sea events, the finest musical talent and more. There is no better time than Memorial Day to pay tribute to our military, first responders and those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our freedom. The event is designed as a tool to be utilized by military, civic and corporate entities to accomplish their marketing and outreach objectives through alignment with a worthwhile cause project. This salute will generate community spirit, generate revenue for businesses, and positively showcase the Miami Beach community.

Miami Classical Music Festival 2020

The Miami Classical Music Festival (MCMF) offers pre-professional students in Opera, Orchestra, Conducting and Piano the opportunity to study with world-class artists and perform high-caliber summer concerts for the Miami Beach community.  The event was created to provide education and performance opportunities during the summer season when there are few classical music options available to enjoy. The festival will take place from June 8 until July 26, 2020, bringing 300 young artists from 25 countries aged 16-30 to Miami Beach to study and perform in more than 65 public concerts in venues throughout Miami Beach. Now in its seventh season, MCMF is considered a prestigious training destination delivering five full opera productions, a Broadway musical, four symphonic concerts, student recitals, chamber music performances, masterclasses and many community concerts on Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive and the Miami Beach Band Shell, for a total of 75 public performances.

American Black Film Festival- POSTPONED until October 21 – 25, 2020

The American Black Film Festival is an annual event taking place June 17 – 21, 2020 and it is dedicated to recognizing black artists and showcasing quality film and television content by and about people of African descent. Dedicated to the belief that diverse artists deserve the same opportunities as their mainstream counterparts, ABFF founder Jeff Friday conceived a festival in 1997 as a vehicle to strengthen the black entertainment community fostering resource sharing, education and artistic collaboration. As the nation’s largest gathering of black film and television enthusiasts, the ABFF attracts a broad audience of A-list talent, emerging artists, upscale consumers and industry stakeholders. The five-day festival opens with the premiere of an upcoming Hollywood release followed by independent film screenings, master classes, panels celebrity conversations, live entertainment and a variety of networking and hospitality events. The festival is a major pipeline for black artists in front of and behind the camera and has significantly expanded the range of talent working in the entertainment industry.

Swim Fashion Week – Paraiso Miami Beach

Swim Fashion Week - PARAISO Miami Beach takes place July 9 - 12, 2020 and it is the biggest swim fashion week in the world. Numerous fitness classes, brunches, cocktail receptions, pop-up stores and much more, are expected to take place, all within Miami Beach. This event gathers thousands of designers, buyers, press, and influencers, who bring their own PR and social media machines to promote what they are doing in Miami Beach. Videos and images from PARAISO are used throughout the year by designers showcasing their Collections. Most of the fashion shows take place in temporary structures installed at Collins Park.


With more than three decades of expertise, SwimShow is recognized as a leader in swimwear exhibitions worldwide. As the industry’s most celebrated and established exhibition, SwimShow is the premier global tradeshow where the very best gather to network, exhibit and purchase next year’s trends. SwimShow attracts more than 9,500 buyers, manufacturers, designers, corporate personnel, press, bloggers, influencers, fashion consultants, stylists, VIP’s and other fashion industry leaders from over 60 countries to showcase brands and create business opportunities. Swimshow is taking place July 11 - 14, 2020 and in addition to the tradeshow, events are expected to include a Swim Lounge/Breakfast Bar/Café 305; seminars, and runway shows/presentations/activations.

Miami Salsa Congress

The Miami Salsa Congress is a five-day dance and music festival, which consists of dance instruction workshops, showcases, live bands, trade shows, accommodations, and an exchange of social and cultural diversity. This event will take place July 22 - 26, 2020 and it has attracted over 50,000 attendees from around the world over the last several years. Events expected to take place include over 30 professional dance workshops and over 70 evening showcases, live bands, and daily social poolside dancing.

13th Annual Miami Takeover

In its 13th year, The Miami Takeover Weekend, is well positioned to be the signature yearly travel event for the mature urban traveler (28-45). The purpose of the event is to bring together like-minded mature urban travelers and provide them with a stress-free travel getaway to Miami Beach, centered around entertainment, peer networking as well as the opportunity to participate in community service while travelling. Taking place July 24 – 26, 2020, the weekend festivities kick off on Friday with a Colgate Smiles Bright Futures dental screening in the morning and continues with an afternoon meet and greet. Five additional social and community service events are planned during the remainder of the weekend including a masquerade party, a Neon Glow pool party at the host hotel (Nautilus), to Sunday events that feature live performances of Go-Go which is the recently adopted official music of Washington DC and a Miami Beach Sweep. The Miami Takeover has attracted over 100,000 guests and has been a driver of increased hotel room nights, food, beverage, and tax revenues for Miami Beach, since its inception in 2008.

SPICE MIAMI Women’s Festival

Taking place July 31 – August 2, 2020, SPICE MIAMI is a three-day lesbian-centric festival for women seeking to foster a supportive environment that empowers women by providing access to research on women’s health, particularly breast and cervical cancer prevention. Held at the Confidante Miami Beach Hotel, the event will feature performance artists, sports influencers, comedians, dancers, social media influencers, celebrity hosts, local and national DJ’s vendors, and sponsors delivering a great music, art and food experience. Additionally, mental health services, women’s health and wellness services will also be a focus particularly GYN services, education and promotion of mammograms, pap smears, HIV/STD/STI testing, LGBTQ culture, nightlife activities all within a safe space. The Florida Department of Health/Miami-Dade County’s office of Preventive Medicine will be a special guest.Beach activations will include games such as volleyball, bocce, bean bag corn-hole games, IV hydration tents, VIP beach beds, hammocks, and cooling fans. Two fully equipped bars selling premium and top shelf liquor, bottle and VIP service with food will be available on the beach as well.
